| I purchased an F-1 Shooting Chrony less than one year ago. The chronograph has been used by me only less than twelve times and is now giving out readings that are so far from normal that they are unbelievable. I have treated the chrony like a delicate instrument and have handled it with care at all times. When I called the company to speak to someone I was handed over to one of their technicians. He was very rude to me and spoke to me like I was an idiot. I was accused of everything from leaving the chronograph out in the rain to shooting the damn thing. I assured he that this chrony has always been treated very gently and I wanted to send it in for repair. I sent it in and after 21 days it came back with no explanation of what had been done to it or who had worked on it. I had to call the company who by the way does not have a toll free number and ask what had been done to my chronograph if anything. The lady that I was speaking to could not find any record of where I had sent it in for repair at first, then she said she found my name. I had told her my name about three times by this point so who knows if she actually found my name or not. Anyway, she said that a new technician had repaired my chronograph and should have included a piece of paper explaining what had been repaired or replaced. She said that if I should encounter any more problems again to call them back. I’m thinking that if they fixed it why would I have problems. Well, I took the chronograph out the next morning to check it out and wouldn’t you know it is still messed up. I don’t think they even tried to fix it and I’m just guessing that they packed it back up and returned it to me just the way I sent it to them.
This chronograph comes with a three year warranty and you would think that the company would honor that warranty, but apparently they don’t. And they don’t think much about their customers either or they wouldn’t try to demean them when they call in with a question or problem. This company is a good one to stay away from. If you are looking for a good chronograph…this isn’t it or even close to it. |
