If you are trying to lose weight, do yourself a favor and stay away from the nutri/system weight loss program.
These people are assholes!
Years ago I joined nutri/system and it was great, but a lot has changed with their system and food since then. The folks at nutri/system have figured out a way to make more money from their customers by giving you food that has more calories/and more fat calories than their food of years gone by. It will take you a lot longer to lose weight with the system today – so you see where I am going with this. The longer you are on their program, the more money they will make. My first and last order that I placed with them in November 2007 for 28 day of food cost me a whopping $342.36 including shipping. That’s a whole lot more than what it used to cost. Back then you could get a month’s worth of food (30 days), for $200.00 or less. I know the cost of food has gone up, but that is just plain ridiculous. Now when my order of food arrived I noticed that several items I received were not what I ordered. I was sent 11 packets of cold breakfast cereal, and I never eat cold cereal, so I know I didn’t order those. After taking an inventory of what I received, I was short two lunch items (I counted my order 4 times), so I know I was short those items. There were other items that I received that I did not order, but without seeing my original order, (which nutria/system apparently does not want you to see), I couldn’t say for sure which items were substituted. Nutri/system has a home page that you can visit anytime to review your previous orders, but my order was not posted there. I contacted nutri/system by e-mail three times and was given a phone number to call so that I could get my food items replaced. By the way, nutria/system replies to your e-mails with a form letter. They do type in the necessary information that you need, but that’s all. I got the impression that they really don’t care about your problems. This was confirmed when I called the supplied number to see about getting my food order straightened out. The guy that I spoke to was a real prick. He flat out told me that I ordered all of the items that I received, and that I was not shorted on any items. There was no way to reason with this guy, so I told him to kiss my ass and I would take care of it, and brother that’s what I have done by posting this on my website. The only thing these kind of people understand is MONEY, and I hope to cost them as many customers and as much money as I possibly can, and hopefully keep others from going through what I have had to go through. I am on disability and the $342.36 that I had to pay for their food has really hurt me. Now, as for the food itself – as I stated earlier, it all contains more calories and fat calories than what it used to contain. I’ll give you a few examples of their dinner items, most of them are in the Calories/Fat Calories range of 220/60, 220/90, 250/70, 250/80, 270/70, 280/90, with the lowest dinner food item at 220 calories/40 fat calories. Snack items are just as bad; 110/50, 140/50, 150/70, 160/40, 160/70, and 210 calories/90 fat calories. They only have a very small amount of food within a reasonable calorie/fat calorie range, and some of those are being replaced with new food items which contain more calories/fat calories. Are you seeing the big picture yet, they want to keep you on their system as long as they can – and it is quite easy with these foods and their high fat calories. It’s all about money, your money, and they want to get as much of it as they can. DON’T LET THEM!

If you can’t lose weight on your own, and it is so hard doing that believe me I know, look into alternative weight loss plans, or join Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers will teach you how to eat healthier using store bought foods, and it will be a lot cheaper than other weight loss programs.
