Your source 463 actually shows: 1880 U.S. Census Records. 1880 census - William Clark Hickok, age 52, born in Connecticut, occupation; Rawhide worker, living in Chicago, Cook, Illinois Wife; Elizabeth, age 39, born in Scotland Son; Charles Hickok, age 8 Daughter; Annie Hickok, age 12. I believe William C's second wife was "Elizabeth" rather than "Beaulah", and that she was born in Scotland, they lived in Chicago, and their children were Charles and Annie. That fits with my Dad's recollections of the story that after Elizabeth Warren died, William C. went to Chicago and worked in a tannery, and had more children. That also somewhat (it's a stretch I admit) explains the "Scotland" apparently incorrectly shown as William C's birthplace on his death certificate. Dad also wondered if there was possibly a connection to a Hickok Belt Company in Chicago, but as near as I can determine the famous Hickok Belt company was located in in Rochester, New York. There was also some story of a Hickok leather company owner's widow moving to Mexico City...(could that be Charles' and Annie's mother?), but I don't remember much about that.
